We are seeking a Retail Marketing Coordinator for an exciting opportunity at our client's corporate offices in Salisbury, NC. Explore the opportunity to work with a leader in the complex, competitive world of the supermarket industry!

This position is responsible for the coordination of activities centered on the development of regional promotions, sponsorships, and events for Food Lion's four retail divisions. This position is also responsible for the coordination, execution and evaluation of assigned marketing promotions.

As Retail Marketing Coordinator, you will:
  • Implement all regional promotions in support of marketing and corporate strategies.
  • Ensure flawless execution of all regional promotions at retail; utilizing store communications systems and working with internal departments, CPG vendors, outside agencies and consultants.
  • Responsible for coordination of associated in-store communications, integrated marketing promotions, proofreading and copy writing, etc. Ensure that all promotions are effectively communicated to the target customer through integrated marketing communications plans that may include TV, radio, flyer, print collateral, point of sale materials, public/community relations and digital marketing.
  • Coordinate activation of regional sponsorships and events.
  • Responsible for invoice processing, tracking and research, including end of period reporting for coupon redemption for all banner-wide and private label promotions. Track expenses utilizing Webfocus and DSS. Assist manager on a monthly basis in preparing budgets and forecasts, and calculating program ROI.
  • Create, maintain and communicate project timelines; adhere to budget and schedules.
  • Coordinate retail marketing projects and initiatives, and communicate with key internal groups including: Corporate Promotions, Our Brands, CRM/Digital, Advertising, Internal and External Communications, Community Relations and other groups as needed. Ongoing tactical thought partner with respective groups.
  • Provide recaps for all promotions and events within 10 days after conclusion of event. Communicate recap to management and all stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain promotional folders on the local marketing shared drive.
  • Ensure the integrity of all promotions through all marketing communication mediums.
  • Provide assistance to Marketing Director, Promotions and Private Label Manager, and various Marketing Managers on special projects as needed, and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in support, development and execution of Retail/Local Marketing, Public Relations, Community Relations, Internal Communications, and Category Management promotions.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong creative ability
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle projects from initial stages through completion
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Must be able to adapt to change and work on various types of projects
  • Ability to coordinate activities of agencies and production companies
