Sales Associate - Cashier

American Natural is a growing company! We are looking for reliable, honest, hardworking employees who enjoy working with people. As a Sales Associates, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the store and will provide quick, courteous, service to all fuel and convenience store customers. American Natural is a drug free work place. All candidates will be subject to a drug test.

 

Sales and Customer Service

• Provides outstanding service by following established policies and procedures.
• Responsible for projecting a professional image and friendly personality to all customers.
• Ensures customer complaints are minimal and resolved at a 100%.  Notifies the manager on duty of any customer complaints (notifies Store Manager if no manager is on duty.)

Food Production Execution (when applicable)

• Follows safe food handling procedures, including compliance with government regulations.
• Prepares food in compliance with established recipes and formularizations.
• Prepares food accurately according to customers’ orders.

Cost Controls

• Assists store management by controlling shrink by following all inventory control procedures.
• Responsible for correctly ringing all sales transactions accurately.
• Responsible for executing accurate cigarette and lottery inventory counts.
• Responsible for eliminating shrink.

Employee Relations

• Responsible for treating all co-workers with respect.
• Employees must display a positive attitude and assist each other when necessary to serve the customers and each other.  TEAMWORK!

Safety and Security

• Utilizes systems that provide for the safety and welfare of customers and employees.  Ensures compliance with government standards.
• Follows cash handling procedures and cash security systems.
• Follows systems for the security of company assets and property.
• Corrects any unsafe conditions whenever possible.  Notifies store manager of unsafe conditions.

Programs and Administration

• Completes administrative work in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists with implementation and follows company programs, policies, and procedures with a positive attitude.
• Communicates information well to Store Managers or the manager on duty.

 General Information and Expectations

• Sales Associates will receive annual performance reviews.  Performance, professionalism, and attitude will be the primary criteria for salary increases.
• Sales Associates are expected to support their management staff and their subordinates to ensure that the company Mission Statement, Values, and corporate policies are supported and followed.

Qualifications

• Must have a working knowledge of a computers and the internet.
• Must have a pleasant and outgoing personality.
• Must work well with others.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must have good verbal communications.

 Primary Requirements

• Must be able to work varying shifts.
• Must have a good stamina level to endure 7-hour to 10-hour shifts that may involve as much as 5-7 hours of standing and infrequent sitting.
• Must be able to do fine manipulation with his/her fingers while working the computer and cash register systems.
• Involves some occasional heavy lifting (25lbs) and a moderate amount of light lifting.
• Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach.
• Must be able to change positions frequently.
• Must be able to maneuver throughout the store.
• Must be able to visually discern housekeeping, safety, sanitation, service and product quality issues.
