JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Fuel Supply Chain will be responsible for the overall management, strategic direction and financial success of the company's Petroleum/Gasoline/Fuel supply chain. This individual will manage end to end supply chain functions including sourcing, forecasting, logistics, and inventory management. This individual will focus on the development and execution of a fuel supply chain plan to drive optimal customer service, lower costs and profitability in support of business plans. This includes process improvement and the deployment of tools and systems. The VP of Petroleum/Gasoline/Fuel Supply Chain will develop a team committed to a culture of high performance standards, continuous improvement, lowering costs and meeting our customers’ expectations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Continuously improve fuel supply chain strategies, policies and procedures to reduce costs, minimize working capital by maximizing inventory turnover while meeting site sales and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the Fuel Supply Chain Function and effectively measure results through a consistent set of supply chain KPI’s.
  • Implement processes to manage short and medium-term capacity, supported by our sales and supply planning process. Work proactively with Fuel Retail sales to implement an effective demand planning process. Lead the management of inventory to meet agreed target levels while insuring optimal inventory is in place to support the business strategy.
  • Maintains a market view of future fuel prices, important trends in supply/demand balances and developments in new product development which might impact The Pantry's fuel price or availability on both on a global and regional level.
  • Develops road map of When, Where and How The Pantry implements new fuels products i.e. E-15, CNG, LNG etc.
  • Maximize the use of resources to ensure that high quality service is delivered to our customers, particularly ensuring that the “Voice of the customer” is taken into account. Improves customer service and relationships ensuring collaborative planning with key business partners.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement and product
  • Evaluate current and potential suppliers/vendors and make recommendation for changes to facilitate improvements
  • Contract administration and execution of supply agreements to assure suppliers are performing to standard
  • Develops alternative long-term supply (spot market purchases, product trading / exchanges, etc.) and logistics options (movements via pipelines, marine, and rail into throughput terminals) to improve supply security or further improve overall product supply cost into each location.



JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, logistics, finance, supply chain management, or other related field required. MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of petroleum/gasoline/fuels related operations management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
