POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Financial Applications Business Support team the Sr. Manager, Oracle Reporting Applications Business Support will play a key role in providing functional and technical support for MI's Oracle Business Intelligence tools (including Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Reports, SmartView and OBIEE Interactive Dashboards). She/he will manage a team of business professionals responsible for providing recurring and non-recurring application support services, troubleshooting and helping to resolve application and process issues impacting the business, providing report, query, cube and dashboard design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and analysis guidance and support, and playing a key role in events which require changes to the application. As part of the Financial Applications Business Support team the Sr. Manager, Oracle Reporting Applications Support will support efforts to establish and maintain the integrity of a global financial information infrastructure that will better meet the financial planning and reporting needs of the business today and create flexibility to accommodate evolving future business needs, maximizing the value derived from MI's investment in financial and management planning and reporting technologies

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Manage the execution of day-to-day Oracle Business Intelligence tools production support, system maintenance and configuration.
Contribute to the ongoing development of Oracle Business Intelligence tools governance and business processes.
Manage/facilitate established business processes for report and query development from design to production.
Work collaboratively and directly with the business to understand complexities of the business and ensure timely exchange of information, customer satisfaction, and process improvement.
Contribute to the development of service level agreements and manage the team's efforts to meet them. Monitor key performance measures and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, data quality and financial controls.
Help lead/develop analysis, recommendations and implementation of systems enhancements and upgrades. Help assess gaps between business requirements and existing platform capabilities and work creatively with both finance and technical professionals to deliver solutions.
Help develop and ensure maintenance of systems and process documentation, policies and procedures, and end-user training and support materials for Oracle Business Intelligence tools.
Support broader organizational efforts to improve management reporting across the continents and brands to include the development of a sign, comprehensive and consistent reporting package.
Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the Leadership Performance Process (LPP) and holds staff accountable for successful performance; coaches team by providing specific feedback to improve performance; conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports; and ensures the same occurs at lower levels of his/her organization. Partner with Human Resources to strengthen the organization performance by ensuring effective structures, processes, jobs, and tools are in place for associates to do their jobs effectively.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Key Talents and Experience
Minimum 6 years financial accounting management and/or financial applications management experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a management role supervising others in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence tools (including Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Reports, SmartView and OBIEE Interactive Dashboards) required.
Experience with PeopleSoft EPM application and Marriott's applications instance preferred.
Knowledge of generally accepted finance and accounting policies, principles and controls.
Solid qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.

Education and Professional Certification
Baccalaureate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field required.
