Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse - (Cath Lab RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D Pay Rate: $33.00 *
This Cath Lab utilizes advanced technology and anxiously awaits a professional and caring Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join their ranks. The advanced technology in their cardiac catheterization laboratories includes the Philips FD 10 and GE Innova 2100, all-digital cardiovascular imaging system that assists in better viewing and treatment of coronary artery blockages that could cause heart attacks or other serious cardiovascular damage. These revolutionary systems allow cardiologists to view hard-to-see blood vessels with exceptional clarity under even the most difficult conditions. This prestigious team and fantastic location are ideal for the passionate caregiver.
The role of the cardiac catheterization lab nurse (cath lab RN) is to administer care for heart disease and heart attack patients by obtaining visual diagnostics of the arteries of the heart, identifying blockages, assisting the physician during procedures, and monitoring the patient’s status at other times. The cath lab nurse may also help administer interventional procedures like cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker and/or defibrillator implantation, and related interventional or diagnostic procedures. Cath lab RNs must be highly specialized and work to stay abreast of the latest techniques in cardiac medicine.
