Health reform specific experience:


Additionally, The Lewin Group works with state and local government agencies to develop and refine their health care reform policies and analyze the cost and coverage impact of their health care reform policies. Lewin helps its clients develop options for expanding health care coverage that vary from incremental approaches to comprehensive health reform and include Medicaid eligibility expansions, tax credits for private insurance, insurance market reforms, employer contribution requirements, universal coverage through private health insurance, and single-payer programs.



The Lewin Group works with clients to specify, analyze, and refine their health care reform proposals to meet their unique coverage expansion and budget objectives. Using data-driven research, Lewin models the effect of changes in the health care delivery system on costs for governments, employers, and households and simulate the effect of system reforms on long-term cost growth.


The Consultant will lead and coordinate complex components of large projects or a series of smaller projects with responsibility for applying advanced methods and techniques in a particular field of specialization. The Consultant will actively participate in all aspects of client work including project planning and execution, client presentations, and issue resolution.


 


Key responsibilities may include:



  • Overseeing day-to-day management of project tasks

  • Advanced quantitative and/or qualitative analysis

  • Delivery of high-quality client and firm presentations, reports, and project deliverables

  • Participation in business development

Requirements


  • Master's degree with a minimum of 3 to 6 years of related experience or a Ph.D. with 1 to 3 years of post-graduate experience

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible work experience in health care consulting or health policy research, analysis and/or evaluation.

  • 2+ years experience working with Healthcare Claims Data (ie: Medicare, Medicaid, Administrative, etc..)

  • Advanced level of proficiency in SAS programming and data analytics as evidenced by over 2 years of programming experience and statistical data interpretation

  • 1+ years of client/project management experience including managing to deadlines/deliverables, and direct Client interfacing experience strongly preferred

  • Specific knowledge of any of the following areas is a plus:  policy analysis, program evaluation, program integrity, informatics, strategic planning and process improvement
