Your friendly neighborhood food truck aficionados at Off the Grid are looking for part-time Mobile Market Ambassadors to ensure our market events are set up, taken down and run seamlessly. As a visible representative of Off the Grid, the Ambassador engages market guests, supports our food truck vendors and helps make sure the location is safe, clean and a happy place to be.
As a member of the Market Staff, you would work the hours and days of our weekly markets. A typical schedule may be 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., three to five days a week, including one to two weekend days.
This is a great starting position with Off the Grid with potential for other opportunities at our growing company.
If you're fun, welcoming, responsible, attentive, resourceful, creative, proactive, love great food and are fit (able to lift 50 pounds) then we want you!
Responsibilities:
* Market Setup and Teardown - drive or co-pilot Off the Grid trucks to/from event site, aid in unloading/loading, setting up/ taking down tables/chairs, displays, lights, garbage/recycling, electrical supply, ensuring location is spotless upon departure
* Food Truck Vendor Relations- provide support as needed, ensure they are one of the family while helping to provide the best service to our customers
* OtG Brand Ambassador - greet, welcome and thank guests, provide information as needed, go the extra mile for guests; represent our brand with pride, role modeling our values, standards and foodie-passion
* Safety Monitoring - remove any obstacles and potential dangers, help keep areas clean and debris free
* Market Operations- oversee entrance/exit, welcome and thank guests, ensure clean and inviting market space
Job Requirements:
* Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
* Possess an enjoyment for people and food
* Must enjoy working outside and in a team environment
* Available to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis
* Possess a supportive and can-do attitude
Physical Demands:
* Required to bend, lift or climb, and stand on your feet throughout work period
* Required to lift light to heavy weights (up to 50lbs)
* Smiling, a lot
Hours may vary: 20-30 hours/week, evening and weekend shifts required
Compensation: Entry level with flexibility
