About this job

This Clinical Program Consultant will function as part of a project and operations team. They will assist in the development of robust operational framework focused on scalable and repeatable best practices and simplification/automation to improve the Primary Care Provider (PCP) market and ultimately, the member experience.

***This position requires 90-100% travel to Puerto Rico!!***

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Create, develop and execute processes for coding and documentation guidelines 

  • Provide guidance and coaching to local coding educators and physicians 

  • Able to put presentations together to present to leadership, medical directors and local PCP's 

  • Will be responsible for training the Coding Educators and Providers for the client 

  • Delivering value primarily by being deployed to markets immediately for short term implementations until locally recruited practitioners fulfill market need 

  • Train locally recruited practitioners and provide ongoing clinical guidance 

  • Partner with leadership to identify the most beneficial options and assist in drive the completion of the selected option 

  • Partner with business owners to identify methods to execute upon the key strategic visions and then lead the initiative to completion 

  • Work with operations to develop program success metrics and ongoing performance metrics Provides strong leadership and judgment; effectively build and deepen relationships across business



 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years experience in coding 

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) 

  • Bilingual skills (fluency in Spanish/English) 

  • Ability to travel 90-100% of the time to Puerto Rico 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Additional Preferred Assets:



  • Active, unrestricted RN license in your state of residence

  • Previous risk adjustment experience 

  • Able to multitask thoroughly in high stress, and fast moving environment 

  • Effectively communicates complex ideas clearly and concisely to both internally and externally 

  • Ability to create, build and maintain relationships in order to improve performance and establish trust and maintain creditability throughout the organization 

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills to address complex situations or issues 

  • Experience in leading and directing teams to deliver within constraints 

  • Proven history of leading and possessing a high tolerance to stress and the ability to handle difficult situations in a confident and diplomatic manner 

  • Experience providing leadership, organization and methodology to a project/operations team 

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities and make changes to work as the project needs dictate 

  • Ability to work autonomously
