The epidemiologist has the primary responsibility for the scientific direction and day-to-day management of research projects.  It is the epidemiologist's responsibility to direct the project team scientifically, participate in the submission of the project deliverables to the client on time and on budget, and ensure that the results are understood by the client.  In addition, the Epidemiologist III will mentor Epidemiologists I – II and participate in the scientific direction of the epidemiology group as a whole.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide scientific direction and guide project execution in collaboration with the project manager

  • Prepare analytic and management plans in collaboration with research analysts

  • Prepare protocols, deliverables, reports

  • Seek appropriate review of deliverables

  • Direct client contact with or without senior scientist in collaboration with the project manager

  • Direct presentation of  results to clients with or without project team or senior scientist

  • Direct or participate in business development

  • Direct proposal writing effort

  • Serve as internal reviewer and mentor to Epidemiologists I & II

  • Review deliverables/reports by other project managers prior to submission

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Masters degree in epidemiology or public health

  • Doctoral degree or MD candidates in epidemiology or related field highly preferred

  • 7 years relevant experience working in epidemiology required for Master's candidates
