COMP COOK (COMP PRODUCTION COOK)

Position Summary:

Responsible for high quality, large volume food production as directed by the Kitchen Manager.

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment and tools.
2. Season and cook meats, soups and vegetables in accordance with standardized recipes and production orders.
3. Evaluate new food products. Test recipes and modify menus.
4. Responsible for ingredient control room supplies.
5. Account for all quantities of foods and supplies used on assigned shifts.
6. Inventory food and supplies.
7. Report malfunctions in equipment.
8. Provide information on the operations of kitchen management.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
- The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.

Education and Experience:

- Previous kitchen experience.

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
