Accepting applications for both new and experienced Omakase Sushi Chefs looking to make delicious food and be a part of creating a fun & lively 15-seater atmosphere.

Responsibilities and duties of a sushi chef include:
* Knowing the proper methods of cutting fish, meat and vegetables
* Preparing stocks, soups and sauces
* Properly making sushi rice
* How to handle fish and ingredients for sushi preparation
* Preparing all types of Japanese cuisine
* Order food and supplies when needed
* Selecting fresh and superior ingredients
* Continually check the quality of raw and cooked products
* Instruct cooks on preparation, cooking and garnishing of food
* Maintenance and sharpening of knives
* Keeping sushi station up to sanitation and safety standards
* Positively interact with customers
* Create an entertaining and special experience for customers
* Seek to push the limits in creativity creating signature dishes
* Creating an appealing presentation and garnishes
* Designing new types of sushi rolls
* Keeping up with the latest trends
* Training and motivating staff
* Perform monthly inventories
* Plan and price items to meet profit margins

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Have a passion for the hospitality industry, cocktails, spirits and our clientele
* Possess skills in cost accounting, budget development, financial planning and strategy
* Excellent decision making, process improvement and strategic planning
* Must possess unquestionable ethics and integrity
* Required to taste and sample wine, beer, sake, and / other alcoholic beverages for beverage education purposes.
* Professional demeanor and appearance is required.
* Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
* Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
* Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Yearly compensation of $65k to $80k depending on experience.
