Overnight Security Officer - Full-time

What you will be doing

• Ensure a safe environment for IHR guests and associates.
• Patrol, document, report, and follow-up on safety and security hazards or infractions.
• Carry out more general guest service tasks, such as delivering items to guests rooms.

Requirements

• Must demonstrate the ability to remain calm in emergencies, and balance excellent guest and associate relations skills with safety and security.
• Must be organized, responsible and a strong team player. Must be able to work with diverse cultures.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must demonstrate consistency and integrity.
• Must meet alcohol handling requirements (TIPS and/or ServSafe Alcohol Training).
• Must be certified/ experienced in CPR, first aid, firefighting and crowd control.
• Must be fluent in English and able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing. Additional language ability a strong plus.
• At least 2-3 years of work experience, preferably in law enforcement or security; hospitality/ customer service experience a strong plus.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays and overnight shifts.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and lift/carry, push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use computers. Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products preferred.
