A successful Senior Operations Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures or government policy. Able to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers/general public.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematics; exponents/logarithms/quadratic equations/permutations. Able to apply mathematical operations to frequency distribution, determination of test reliability/validity, variance, correlation, sampling, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Excel and Access proficiency, strong data intelligence, analytical mind, excellent verbal and written communications skills.

The Senior Operations Analyst analyzes current and newly developed operation policies, procedures, and systems across multiple departments or locations. Additionally, analyzes current performance and procedures for improvement opportunities through standardization as well as uses quantitative methods to recommend changes that have significant financial impact.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of field operations and identify opportunities for improvement in current processes by performing both quantitative and qualitative analysis, then clearly and effectively recommend process improvements to senior management.
  • Produce quantitative data reporting and ad hoc analysis on a wide variety of subject matter.
  • Take ownership of key performance metrics.
  • Work well as both an autonomous contributor and member of a larger analytical team. Work in concert with other departments on cross-functional projects.
  • Be flexible and nimble, adapting well to change in a dynamic business environment and work well with deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as required.
