Grooming Assistant - Part-time

As a Grooming Assistant with Petco, you will help pets look and feeltheir best. We’re looking to you to provide grooming services that enhance thepositive union of pet and pet parent. To do so, you will passionately live outthe varied duties of your role. You will:

• Provide basic grooming, bathing and customer service as instructed bythe Pet Stylist, Grooming Salon Manager or General Manager
• Interact professionally and effectively with all professional contactswith a focus on company interests
• Perform basicgrooming services on dogs that do not require a haircut, including brushing,bathing, ear and teeth cleaning, expression of anal glands, trimming nails,clipping pads, groin/belly and clipping hair by eyes
• Assist with generating and developing the grooming business
• Assist in booking grooming appointments and performing follow-up phonecalls and reminders to customers
• Complete personal daily grooming payroll and commission paperwork
• Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks withinestablished timeframes
• Ensure salon cleanliness and safety by sweeping, mopping, etc. on aregular basis
• Move animals and merchandise up to 50 pounds

Minimum Requirements:

The ideal candidate willhave:

• A passion for animal welfare
• Knowledge of the groomingindustry
• High school diploma or GED
