About this job

Roles and Responsibilities

As a member of the Management Team at WOB, you have one of the most important positions in the Tavern. With this role, you have a great deal of responsibility that requires a sense of urgency, a desire to serve the best Tavern Fare possible, financial performance of the kitchen, staffing and ensuring the best possible experience at your World of Beer for both customers and WOB*STARS. A Kitchen Manager at WOB must be able to multi-task, mentor the BOH WOB*STARS in all areas of food production, provide an incredible dining experience, and operate a financially profitable kitchen. It is also your responsibility to teach your WOB*STARS to live The WOB Way.

You are responsible for operating the kitchen and executing perfect tavern fare at all times. You are also responsible for making sure that each shift is well stocked with necessary items and all Tavern Fare items are available throughout the shift – we should never “86” an item, so proper ordering is crucial to your success. You should treat each day like it is opening day by ensuring the tavern is fully stocked, clean and taking care of our Customers with opening day enthusiasm.

You are responsible for ensuring the safety of our customers by adhering to all local health and sanitation standards, completing daily Tavern Fare line  checks, and operating a spotless kitchen at all times.
When not performing your specific duties, you should always be looking for opportunities to help reduce costs, improve efficiencies and maintain a low labor cost.

As a Kitchen Manager, you are also the face of WOB outside in the community. You should wear your WOB Chef Coat with pride and always live The WOB Way. This includes practicing Teamwork, Citizenship and Bringing the Spirit each and every shift you work.
