On behalf of Battelle, Headway Workforce Solutions is seeking part time Data Collectors to conduct standardized research activities with adults in and around Inglewood, CA over a period of approximately 40 months. Pay for this position will average $15/hour, and will depend on experience.
Position Information
Data Collectors work independently to engage study participants in the research process, screen, enroll, and administer computer-assisted personal interviews (CAPI) with study participants in homes and other locations as needed, schedule clinic exams, and maintain high level of rapport with participants.
Strong candidates will be talented, experienced individuals who possess excellent communication and organizational skills, have the ability to follow and document study procedures, possess independent work habits, can accurately complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, and can adhere to strict rules regarding project confidentiality.

Training and Pay
All Data Collectors will be expected to attend a paid training session in LA. Attendance at training is mandatory. Trainees must successfully complete training to continue employment on the project. Pay for this position will average $15/hour, and will depend on experience.

Data Collectors are required to:
- Use personal, reliable vehicles for travel to assigned areas. Time and mileage will be reimbursed for work conducted inside the specific study boundary.
- Work flexible schedules, primarily during weekday evening and daytime weekend hours, with daytime weekday hours as necessary.
- Be proficient in the use of computers, tablets, iPads, etc.
- Complete data transmittal and administrative tasks
- Recruit and Complete research interviews with participants
- Schedule eye examinations with participants
- Work as a temporary employee of Headway Workforce Solutions
- Work under the direction of a Battelle staff member
- Have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- Pass a background check
