- Ensures that high quality standards are met and maintained
- Monitors the work queues to ensure turnaround compliance timeframes are met
- Ensures staff is educated and informed of changes (P&P, state and regulatory, department and corporate levels)
- Manages training of new employees, both clinical and non-clinical
- Identifies area of opportunity for process improvement
- Contributor for production of metrics to include new medical necessity products for Western Region UHC Legacy and Legacy PHS platforms
- Completes monthy performance scorecards and conducts annual reviews
- Monitors attendance annd ensures attendance policy adherence
- Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completions
- Coordinates work activities with other supervisors
- Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgement.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted RN License
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
- Strong computer proficiency with the ability to type and navigate around a Windows based environment
- Must be able to work on call once a month
- Previous experience in a leadership role (i.e. Supervisor, Manager or Team Lead) is highly preferred
- Utilization Management experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Milliman Care Guidelines is highly preferred
- BSN
- Managed Care experience
- Experience working in a telephonic role in an office based setting
- Experience managing a team in a production environment
- Experience managing a team of 10 or more employees is a plus!
