This is a key leadership role within the Payment Integrity Software Engineering leadership team. We are looking for a strong leader who is collaborative, a self-starter, can take ownership/ accountability and drive results. This role will involve managing and working with distributed, global teams with multiple stakeholders. This person needs to be comfortable dealing with complexity and ambiguity.

 

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Understanding client mission, vision, strategy and business objectives


  • Understanding current state of a client's business and the supporting technology

  • Understanding critical success factors (CSFs) for achieving business objectives
  • Partnering with business leaders and customers to influence business strategy and associated technology roadmaps
  • Understanding key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring progress against CSFs
  • Establishing approaches for engagements to ensure that they align with business objectives
  • Collaborating with all stakeholders to assess unmet/new business needs and solutions
  • Developing roadmaps and financial models for engagements
  • Providing leadership and direction for client engagements
  • Shaping solutions to ensure that they address core business opportunities and problems
  • Applying technology best practices to create predictable outcomes for clients
  • Overseeing software design and development through the application of Agile standards and principles to produce and maintain high quality software products
  • Staying abreast of leading-edge technologies and healthcare market trends
  • Ensuring effective alignment of technology to support business strategies
  • Delivering business results through flawless execution
  • Cultivating ongoing relationships with executives and other leaders in client organizations
  • Coaching and mentoring technology professionals, in order to build and maintain high performance teams
  • Fostering the career development and growth of team members
  • Ensuring on schedule, on budget, on scope delivery within client quality goals
  • Developing (and adhering to) engagement budgets and staffing plans
  • Financial management 
  • Adapting to and remaining effective in a changing environment

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership/management role in software development within large, global, matrixed, complex organizations
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working through various phases of SDLC – design, development, release planning and delivering to market
  • A record of successful delivery of software products/large multi-million dollar programs in a managerial/leadership capacity
  • Strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise-wide perspective
  • Broad understanding of technology and how it's used to drive business growth and/or efficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability to apply process, architecture and software engineering principles, methods and tools to business challenges
  • Proven experience delivering high quality technology solutions on time and on budget
  • Inspirational leadership style that promotes innovation and collaboration and fosters commitment to a shared vision
  • Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization including senior technology and business leaders
  • Demonstrated experience managing organizational growth and change
  • Results-oriented individual with strong coaching, decision making, influencing, mentoring, negotiation, problem solving and situational analysis skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with claims, coordination of benefits and fraud, waste and abuse a plus
