POSITION PURPOSE
The Administrative Assistant performs full administrative and general duties in support of a DM and/or district.

The Administrative Assistant performs full administrative and general duties in support of a DM and/or district.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and make arrangements for meetings, conferences.
- Screen telephone calls and resolve or refer them as appropriate.
- Prepare routine letters, memorandums, agendas, presentations, forms, etc.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining official documents and records inappropriate files to ensure organization of materials.
- Perform clerical duties such as typing, note taking, and managing daily mail to make certain that order is maintained within the office or department and documents are accurate. Maintain supervisor's/department's e-mail and voicemail correspondence to maintain adequate and timely communication.
NATURE AND SCOPE
- Typically reports to District Manager.
- This position has no direct reports.
- Typically has little contact outside workgroup.
- Typically assignments vary and follow a few different procedures that allow choices from a few solutions.
- Typically considers among many different options or procedures when solving problems.
- Typically progress or results of work are regularly checked and prior approval is required before changing standard work procedures.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
EDUCATION REQUIRED
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 2
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
- PC skills, knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access), Lotus Notes and the Internet.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Skills in operating office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, phone, etc.)
