QUALIFICATIONS

- BSME or related Engineering Degree with applicable experience
- 0-3+ years of experience - will look at candidates with a strong internship where they participated in engineering activiites
- Mechanical Engineer with experience in design and development of electro-mechanical components and assemblies.

- Candidate is responsible for engineering related documentation such as drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Candidate must have strong communication and organization skills and be able to lead various phases of product development through complete phases of manufacturing.
- Working with cross-functional teams the candidate will be able to meet schedules and achieve target costs.
- Under limited supervision, the candidate must be able to work in lean resource environment performing the duties of design engineer as well as project lead.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- 70% will be tooling design and machinery drafting for very small parts (small machinery and tooling)
- 30% will be administrative work and general engineering support including ECO work, project meetings, working with procurement, workign with manufacturing on the floor

This team works on NPI projects with a pretty stable product line - there will be training for this position, but nothing official so this person needs to come in with the ability to learn, and create new things, as well as follow a template when necessary.

* Proven basic ability to design in 3d CAD, this person will be creating tooling and fixturing, as well as equipment from concept to completion
* Analysis of design using engineering analysis tools and techniques (FEA, etc.) as needed
- Ensure high standard of quality consistent with customer needs and ISO 9000 standards
* Verify submitted designs and dimensioning meet industry standards
* Direct and perform standard product support activities such as: review and write Engineering Change Orders (ECO's); troubleshoot product problems; value creation projects such as cost reductions, design improvements, process optimizations
* Proficient in the use and training of electronic/mechanical equipment and/or CAD tools (Solidworks or Pro/E)
* Candidate must be detail-oriented and work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
* Limited travel on an as needed basis
