About this job

Must Haves:
- At least 3 years of payroll experience
- BS in Accounting or related field.***May consider AS in accounting and 3 to 20 years of payroll experience in lieu of BS degree
- Fundamentals of Payroll certification or CPP certification is a plus.
- Proven customer service skills
- Above average Microsoft Office, Excel and word experience.
- Verbal and writtent customer focused communication skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratios and percentages
- 45 WPM typing

Responsible for providing accurate and timely front line support, while going above and beyond in assisting our clients.

Providing client payroll service solutions - 70%
- Answering phone calls regarding customer inquiries and concerns, payroll questions, software-related troubleshooting, client education, etc
- Ability to teach internal and external customers to use the payroll, benefit and timekeeping software
- Responding to follow up case related emails from clients or other staff resolve issues


2. Making company and employee file changes as well as master file changes 20%

3. Miscellaneous administration responsibilities including 10%
- Completing new hire reporting for all applicable states
- Ordering office supplies
- Running and/or wrapping up payrolls as needed
- Preparing custom reports such as transmittals, GL's, custom reports, etc
- Preparing workers compensation audits

4. Other projects or duties as set forth by supervisor
