ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The essential functions of the Customer Service Associate include processing sales transactions, assisting customers in a prompt, courteous manner, supporting store needs, staging, loading and unloading product received into the store or ready to be shipped out, and stocking/maintenance of work areas including warehouse inventory. Comply with company policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are essential in the daily execution of the position: Enter customer purchases into Point of Sale System. Assist in the answering of telephone calls using hhgregg phone etiquette. Responsible for opening and closing registers; verifying and balancing transactions entered in the registers. Good understanding and execution of all payment procedures. Working knowledge of service system and all related functions. Perform returns and exchanges for customers within the return policy guidelines and check for all related accessories with merchandise return. Maintain department or area of responsibility this includes merchandising, cleaning and tagging according to current strategy. Handle routine customer concerns or problems regarding merchandise. Assist members of management with checking in transfer trucks. Put product away in proper area of warehouse or salesfloor. Store maintenance; (including but not limited to) floors (mopping and vacuuming), all glass and windows, restrooms, trash, break areas, warehouse area, parking lots. Assist customers by taking purchased merchandise to customer's vehicle. Verify customer is given exact product listed on invoice. Pull product for same day deliveries, next day deliveries or transfers to other stores. Stock warehouse and sales floor. Perform other duties as needed and directed by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Basic computer knowledge High School education or equivalent Nights and weekends required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job Classification: Medium/Heavy: Exerting 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light work. Minimal – sitting, crawling, repetitive motions Occasional – balancing, talking, eye/hand/foot coordination, sitting Frequent – climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping Constant – hearing, standing, walking
