Aerotek is in search of an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join a well-established team in Lakewood, CO. The ideal candidate will have experience with electro-mechanical assembly of highly complex, low volume product. Experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred. JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble, test, checkout, and troubleshoot electronic and mechanical subassemblies and electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements of the United States Food and Drug Administration and other foreign and domestic regulatory agencies using manufacturing operating procedures, assembly drawings and written/verbal instructions. In addition, position holder provides leadership, mentoring, and training to enhance the capabilities and skills of other team members.

Builds, tests, troubleshoots, checks out, and packages highly complex mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies and electromechanical equipment.
Assists engineers in prototyping, specialty builds, testing, validating, and implementing new materials, designs, and process improvements.
Maintains appropriate inventory levels and accuracy on the production floor.

Identifies schedule upsets and is a key contributor in formulating the response to maintain schedule.
Identifies non-conforming product and disposition according to company procedure.

Teamwork
Proactively assists engineers, buyers, and planners in resolving quality, production, process, and raw material issues.
Works directly with other team members in new and existing process validation, documentation, and implementation.
Initiates training activities on the production floor to ensure quality process/products.
Develops relationships with additional resources outside of the functional group such as suppliers, Field Service, Customer Support, and others to resolve issues of quality or process.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions; reason through mathematical word problems; and read tables, scales, graphs, and charts quickly and accurately.
Understanding/usage of the English language; good understanding of words used in business and regulatory environments; ability to memorize different terms and their meanings; and ability to read, comprehend, and generate reports, documents, procedures, etc. that may be technical in nature.
Demonstrated ability to assemble, test, checkout, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic subassemblies and electromechanical equipment using safe handling and assembly techniques.
Ability to understand mechanical principles and analyze mechanical movement.
Ability to identify a simple figure that is part of a complete drawing.
Ability to visualize how separate pieces will look as a whole.
Ability to control hand and arm movement including the capacity for precision work with small objects.
Ability to spot imperfections or flaws in a series of objects.
Demonstrates high proficiency with the use of required hand-tools and test equipment.
Applies technique and quality criteria for soldering as well as use of specialized tools and test equipment.
Demonstrates a high level of competency in the use of computer software programs such as Inventory Management System transactions, Visio, Microsoft Office and other appropriate software to generate information.
