Job Summary:
To maintain an adequate stock level of all products carried in the stores. Help maximize sales by efficiently receiving product deliveries and restocking of the stores. General warehouse/distribution center duties to include but not limited to: picking orders, receiving freight, pricing product, ordering product, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining a clean work area.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assist with the protection of all company assets in the warehouse including non-stock merchandise.
* Understand all procedures designed to minimize internal and external shrink
* Work with other warehouse employees to receive all shipments in a timely manner
* Sort and price all merchandise for return to vendor accurately and on time
* Write and acknowledge orders
* Immediately inform management of any out of stock situations
* Assist train new warehouse associates
* Be knowledgeable and familiar with the surrounding businesses/offerings within the warehouse to assist others
* Help maintain a neat, clean, organized warehouse including sweeping, dusting, straightening of items stored
* Perform light maintenance
* Counts and receives incoming merchandise; reports shortages/overages to management in a timely manner, before required deadlines.
* Counts and completes all appropriate paperwork for merchandise returns to vendors.
* Sorts, and organizes all damaged and outdated products for subsequent supplier credits and returns.
* Organizes all merchandise for annual inventory.
* Assists in inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances
* Notify management of out of stock merchandise.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
* Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
* Good time-management skills and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to communicate effectively and great multi-tasking skills
* Ability to lift 50lbs
* Able to work in environment exposed to the elements, both hot and cold
Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* One year previous warehouse or stockroom experience
* One year previous experience operating manual and/or electric pallet jack
