The Time Warner Cable Texas region currently seeks a Retention Analyst for our Marketing & Sales Department in Culver City, CA. While the position resides out of the Culver City call center in Southern California, this job offers the opportunity of Telecommuting for qualified individuals. That said, the job does require that the selected candidate works at least 1 day out of the month in the local office in Culver City California. ( This is subject to change)
Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.Position SummaryThis role is responsible for managing and developing SQL queries, building reports using SSRS, managing databases with multiple data sources, developing web applications, and troubleshooting various issues with existing reports. Employee is responsible for building a wide variety of reports and projects for the Enterprise Retention Organization.
Essential Job Functions:
Gather business requirements from process and business owners to design and develop BI solutions

Write SQL Queries, design UI elements for presenting reports, and assist in defining and implementing code standards

Create and Modify ETL packages

Re-evaluate and take ownership of current BI Platform

Tune existing and create new Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL stored procedures and functions

Work with other team members to support production databases (tuning T-SQL stored procedures and functions)

Document recommended enhancements and discuss with other team members

Work with development staff to create SQL Server database objects to support new development objectives

Build and maintain SQL scripts

Build and maintain complex SQL queries for data analysis and data extract

Build and maintain data mart extraction processes.

Perform quality assurance and testing at the unit level

Design for smaller projects

Responsible for all activities related to the administration of data, databases, analyzing trends and/or reconciling data

Work with site management to develop and administer updates to scorecard system.

Reviews, develops and maintains all reporting platforms and tools (i.e. Access, Excel, Remedy, Billing Platforms, Millennium, etc.) for scorecard.

Perform root cause analysis of scorecard data to identify enhancement opportunities.

Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.

Job Requirements:
Experience with SQL Server 2008, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL required

Experience with DB2, Vantage, Oracle and other RDBMS preferred

Transform system implementations into written procedures and business documentation

Troubleshoot technical problems, resolve and address evolving business needs

Excellent data analytical skills with a strong eye for detail

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 preferred

Microsoft Access Certification preferred

2 plus years ' experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or other major RDBMS

Familiarity with designing and implementing large databases and data warehouses utilizing both relational and dimensional design concepts

May be required to work a flexible schedule that provides needed coverage for customer service levels and/or time-sensitive projects.

Must successfully complete pre-employment testing to include but not limited to: skills testing and pre-employment background checks as well as drug/alcohol testing.

Required to read and follow all company policies and procedures.

Able to maintain a regular work schedule to meet the needs of the business.

Support and model the company values.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university (preferred); or equivalent training, education and experience - Required

Travel Requirements
Travel may be required to attend work related meetings and training sessions.

Valid Driver ' s License with satisfactory driving record may be required.
