Digital Marketing Director (NYC or Denver)
Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) is searching for an innovative leader to head digital marketing across all CMG brands. This newly created position will be responsible for refining the current digital vision/strategy across all facets of digital marketing including social, mobile, email, website, etc. This position will build and oversee a team of skilled digital marketers and be responsible for ensuring that all digital programs are fully integrated across existing and future campaigns.

The role reports to the Director of Brand Marketing, but will also work closely with the Director of Advertising/Media as it relates to paid digital marketing efforts. This position must also be willing to partner with the content development and creative teams to successfully brief them to create disruptive executions that will build lasting bonds and meaningful business across our brands.

Scope / Responsibilities
Scope of the role includes overall digital marketing, social media, community engagement, mobile, email and analytics.

Priorities include
Lead digital strategic planning
•Refine vision and approach for digital marketing in partnership with other business owners
•Work collaboratively with several marketing units including brand marketing, event marketing, content development, creative, media, and corporate communications
•Oversee the annual digital planning process and strategy development in accordance with overall brand plans

Develop and maintain an effective mobile, social, email and web strategy
•Work closely with web lead to continually research and identify opportunities to enhance the online consumer experience, executing design, lead generation and other UI/UX changes to continue to optimize engagement
•Lead social strategy, planning and execution with team of social media strategists to create a cohesive narrative and approach to telling brand stories
•Refine a community management approach that engages our audiences/fans and partner with customer service to monitor interactions
•Enhance mobile database and marketing strategy and deploy a mobile-first approach to all campaigns
•Evolve email marketing capabilities and increase effectiveness of campaigns
•Identify and partner with outside agencies as appropriate to execute programs

Manage and build a team of top performers to execute integrated digital marketing campaigns
•Enhance company-wide digital marketing competencies by overseeing and improving organizational design, structure and management processes
•Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
•Develop integrated brand management and channel-specific strategies, policies, programs and tools to support digital and digital marketing products

Strengthen analytics approach to drive optimization
•Partner with IT to evolve and deploy a best-in-class consumer data system
•Proactively forecast and report learnings on all programs to increase performance and influence future creative executions
•Work with media team to leverage analytics and media mix modeling insights to maximize media spend through all digital channels

Accelerate innovation through partnering with IT
•Continuously drive to revitalize technology product portfolio through innovation, customer insights, and data – to establish Chipotle as the leader in digital marketing innovation
•Champion timely and new solutions for reaching consumers and partner with IT to effectively make these solutions become realities
•Act as digital thought-leader and educate the marketing and internal teams on the power of best practices and emerging opportunities

Qualifications
Education and training:
•15+ years experience in a digital marketing or product management role or related field in corporate or agency setting
•15+ years experience leading the development of new or existing web, mobile, social products or strategies from conception to implementation
•Demonstrated project management experience
•Proven experience in managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously from strategy through execution
•BA in marketing or related field; advance degree preferred
•CRM experience a huge plus

•Located in either New York or Denver (majority of core team members are in Denver)
•Extensive domestic travel
