Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

* Work with Design Engineering team to define the production processes required to support existing products as well as new products.
* Develop and refine production cells using LEAN and Six Sigma principles to achieve daily output rates in support of expected sales volumes.
* Establish the production methods, tooling and fixturing needed to produce products to established specifications.
* Develops the need and justification on capital equipment expenditures.
* Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
* Improves the manufacturing process by receiving load times and cost.
* No direct reports, but will oversee projects and tasks that will require the direction of others
* Hours 8am-5pm, or 7am-4pm

Job Requirements:

* 4+ years of experience in LEAN/Sigma practices and methodologies. (The candidate should be able to explain savings and improvements from cost improvement projects)
* Must have an understanding of manufacturing practices specifically in CNC and manual machining, fixture and tool design, and fabrication
* CAD experience in facility layout as well as fixture design experience is a must
* Experience with an ERP system to create and manage routings
* MS Office experience including Excel, Word, and Power Point
