SCADA O&M Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description: The O&M SCADA Engineer is a cross-functional role that is instrumental in the successful operation and operational testing of our clients power plants.

Specific responsibilities include:

Prepare and maintain project plans including functional testing, operational testing, performance testing and SCADA tests.

Interface with Project Engineering, Construction and subcontractors to successfully execute equipment testing.

Review results, repair or correct performance where necessary.

Work closely with the Plant Monitoring Team to insure provisions are made for collecting the required O&M data following plant energization and operation.

Serve as a direct and primary interface with key component hardware manufacturers including meteorological stations, media converters, data loggers, modems, relays, inverters, etc.

Collaborate with Belectric's O&M field teams to troubleshoot hardware, software, relay and communications settings and issues.

Work with a project Bill of Materials (BOM) and OEM equipment documentation to establish and maintain a critical spares inventory list.

Develop and implement new procedures to test and enhance system performance.

Experience and Skills required:

Experienced with typical solar array layout such as modules, inverters, transformers, single axis trackers and electrical substations.

Deep experience with testing and troubleshooting of PV and SCADA system operations.

Quick learner with the ability to adapt relevant experience to a variety of equipment and implement various technical standards from IEEE, UL, IEC, NFPA-70E and ANSI.

Attention to detail with the ability to spot anomalies and investigate outliers.

Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and to think outside the box to solve traditional problems in new ways.

Education/Equivalent experience required:

B.S in electrical engineering or related discipline

3+ years experience in commissioning, servicing or operating a broad range of electrical power equipment including DAS and SCADA systems.
