We are currently hiring for an Electrician in the Champaign, IL area.

This candidate must be able to:

perform duties of an electrician in a way that is consistent with plant policy and standards. The employee must demonstrate the following in order to assume the duties and responsibilities of an Electronic Technician:
1. Use of Allen Bradley and TI programmable logic controllers PLC for machine/process control and troubleshooting.
2. Load programs to and from any programmable logic controller.
3. Design control cabinets using programmable logic controller, temperature controller, encoders, counters and miscellaneous control hardware.
4. Design control circuits using programmable logic controllers, temperature controllers/records, counters and miscellaneous control hardware.
5. Understand the use and operation of process variable sensing elements (RTDs, thermocouples, etc.), transducers (pressure level, humidity/moisture, pH, etc.), photoelectric sensors and similar sensing used in manufacturing environment.
6. Calibrate all forms of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic devices.
7. Communicate technical information to improve the skills of the other electricians.
8. Understands basic electronics with a 2 year Associate degree understanding. Basic electronics (transistor logs, digital logic, etc.) competency.
9. Replace and reconfigure personal computer utilized in process applications.
10. Configure all electronic devices (control message displays, programmable position encoders, etc.).
11. Work in teams with engineering and production.
12. Tune PID loops.
13. Understand the PID and flow diagrams for various processes.
14. Program, calibrate and maintain all electronic scales and check weighers.
15. Understand, install and maintain all types of motors, motor control circuits, VFD drives, and 480v power distribution

Qualifications:

-MIN 3 years recent electronic and electrician expereince
-Must be able to edit and program PLCs
-Must have experience using multi-meters and other electrical measurement equipment
-Must have blueprint reading and electrical diagram and schematics
-Prior manufacturing experience preferred
-Must have high school diploma or GED
-STRONGLY PREFER AAS in indutrial technology or something electrical

Shift:

-2nd shift (2pm-1030pm) and 3rd shift(1030pm-7am) hours with OT available
-Must be able to work overtime on weekends and holidays as necessary
-Training on day shift for 2-4 weeks
-Weekends required, shifts are set and alternate weekend coverage so candidates will have set weekends off being Friday-Saturday OR Sunday-Monday off.

Pay:

$25.49-25.59/hr + OT
