The Variable Operations Trainer is responsible for facilitating AutoNation Best Practice Processes training Sales Process and Sales Management workshops in various assigned Markets as well as conducting in-store one-on-one coaching to reinforce learned skills and process execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach our Associates and Managers the knowledge and skills they need to deliver a peerless Customer experience in all Sales Processes; Showroom, Sales Desk, Used Vehicles, eCommerce and Phones
  • Provide the training needed to ensure the store teams have the knowledge and skills to execute AutoNation Best Practice Processes and achieve their sales volume and gross profit targets
  • Deliver and facilitate workshops in a classroom setting
  • Conduct in-store visits to work with Sales Managers to help facilitate successful on-boarding of new Sales Associates to improve retention and reduce turnover
  • Work with newly hired Sales Associates and their Managers to ensure the completion of required online eLearning courses that are prerequisites for the classroom workshops
  • Assist store management and the Market team with the identification and training of mentor Sales Associates
  • Utilize AutoNation’s Learning Management System to record and track all training completions
  • Extensive travel 50 – 75% of the time; frequently two cities in the same week

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years automotive retail experience
  • Proven communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Must meet company employment requirement
  • Candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to Seattle, WA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years automotive retail training experience strongly preferred
  • 2 years automotive Sales Management
  • Position requires candidate be willing to work occassional Saturdays
