The Time Warner Cable Denver office currently seeks a Senior Development Engineer for our Converged Technology Group. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary
The Business Support Systems (BSS) Development team within the Converged Technology Group (CTG) is seeking a Senior Java Developer for applications in the Sales Management domain. Time Warner Cable is aggressively pursuing sales order automation objectives in conjunction with online sales channels (TWC.com and Go2Broadband) from web portal through provisioning and billing across all three primary lines of business, including Video, Data and Voice.

The BSS Development team is responsible for technology strategy, sourcing, development and delivery of TWC ' s sales and order management platforms. The senior java developer ' s responsibilities will involve the translation of technology strategy and business requirements into application design, development and unit testing deliverables via an agile execution methodology across multiple applications and services. The position will collaborate with a number of vendor teams in the delivery of these applications by providing design guidance, code reviews and code validation activities.

Essential Job Functions:
The role will perform the following job functions-

- Design, develop, and deliver software in support of Sales Management domain applications
Þ Sales Order Manager
Þ Common Shopping Service (channel application)
Þ Enterprise Product Catalog (Siebel)
Þ Service Catalog (Siebel)
Þ Sales Domain Services (ESS, GEO, GPD)

- Deliver releases via the defined agile execution methodology

- Define coding standards, drive delivery methodologies and implement development tools

- Execute application design and code reviews (including peer reviews)

- Assist Principal Architect with package technology evaluations and selection decisions

- Serve as mentor for other members of the development staff

- Review user stories, business requirements and design specifications to ensure they provide the information needed to support LOE estimates and development efforts

- Support functional, integration and performance testing efforts as needed

- Provide Tier 3 issue escalation support as needed

Job Requirements:
The candidate should possess the following skills and expertise to ensure success in this position-

- At least 5-7+ years of experience as a software developer/lead in delivering Java-based applications

- Proven record for delivering Java-based applications from design through deployment

- Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, JMS, JavaScript, MQ Series, XML/HTTP, JSON, REST, SOAP, CSS and JQuery technologies

- Expertise in JUnit and TDD methodologies, SOLR, Lucene or Caching mechanisms, as well as WebLogic and Oracle database technologies

- Significant experience with agile development methodologies

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to direct the application design and development activities of a team of developers across multiple applications and releases

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will also have the following preferred qualifications-

- Some experience with the Ericsson (formerly ConceptWave) OrderCare application

- Prior ESB development experience

- Experience within the telecommunications industry and sales/ordering solutions

- Scrum master certification

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
