We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Quality Control Specialist.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.
Requirements
Manpower is currently hiring a Quality Control Specialist for one of our clients in Anniston, AL!
Job Responsibilities:
*Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production.
*Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
*Coordinate all work through Sr. Quality Manager and Quality Engineer.
* Proficient with part marking for traceability, including the ability to accurately verify and record information.
* Uses and cares for inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
* Conducts sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
* Provides activity and status reports to management.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
* Verifies accuracy of recorded data with requirements of written instructions and command media.
* Visually inspects for proper parts used, orientation, workmanship, assembly techniques.
* Required to read and interpret assembly inspection sheets, EMOTS, blueprints, build memo's and other related assembly documents.
* Proficient with turbine engine assembly, test procedures and work instructions.
* Computer literate, with excellent arithmetic skills.
* Dimensionally checks for endplay, thickness, depth, clearance offset, concentricity, linear distances, and radius using micrometer, indicators, calipers, helios, and other hand tools and equipment.
* Performs final acceptance of end items prior to shipment, using blueprints, sales orders, stop orders, nameplate data control, EMOT, engineering orders, and build memos.
Requirements:
*Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience
*Minimum of 2 years experience using precision measurement devices or a Certified Mechanical Inspector.
*Familiarity with blueprint reading and geometrical dimensioning
*Special Considerations: Lifting is generally in the 10 to 15 Lbs. range with minimal repetitions.
*Exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is minimal.
Contract Length: 3 months
Pay: $15.59/hr
