The National Marketing Director is responsible for leading integrated marketing for the Optum Local Care Delivery business. This position helps drive both the strategy for and overall execution of Optum Local Care Delivery marketing initiatives. Key areas of focus include: Driving patient acquisition and retention; driving brand strategy; supporting physician and advanced medical practitioner acquisition and retention; supporting provider engagement initiatives; and partnering with operational leadership in both physician networks and clinics. This position also supports local marketing leads nationwide.   


   


The National Marketing Director will report to the National VP of Marketing for Optum Local Care Delivery and focus his/her energy and attention in moving the Optum Local Care Delivery business forward each and every day.  


   


   


   


Responsibilities:  


•       Manage and set direction for an Integrated Marketing team that values integrity, compassion, relationships, innovation, and performance 


•       Determine best marketing practices for key products/populations, such as Medicare-eligible patients and roll out across Local Care Delivery organizations.   


•       Own the process of assessing new markets; and then recommending strategic plans that align to business goals.   


•       Own the analytical marketing model, delivering qualified leads and retaining patients to maximize ROI  


•       Co-own and maximize the impact of the Patient Acquisition and Retention call center (P.A.R.) with Operations   


•       Oversee evaluation of campaign level results via analytical reporting and own the development for future strategic marketing initiatives  


•       Oversee analytics/reporting for each market  


•       Manage creation and execution of Playbook; which includes interactive (digital) marketing initiatives, marketing tools, processes, and campaigns that include collateral, direct marketing materials, advertising, public relations, etc.  


•       Communicate Marketing updates, risks and implications to market-level Marketing counterparts as well as functional counterparts  


•       Actively manage the Marking Operations components of marketing budget  


•       Direct team members to resolve highly complex or unusual business problems  


•       Be an integral part of the Optum Local Care Delivery Marketing leadership team       

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree   

  • Master's Degree a plus  

  • 5+ years of strategic leadership experience  

  • 5+ years of proven experience and accomplishments in the health care industry  

  • Proven success with the development and deployment of analytical marketing competencies  

  • Demonstrated aptitude in strategic planning and execution

  • 5+ years of complex project management experience  

  • 5+ years of people management experience  

  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, as well as a matrixed environment  

  • Proven experience in managing a complex budget  

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and experience in deadline driven environment  

  • Experience with Physician groups and inner workings of physician practices  

  • Ability to be supportive of innovation and change
