Machinist

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Machinist.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Manpower is currently hiring a Machinist for one of our clients in Greer, SC! Job Responsibilities: * An advance level machinist centering around CNC Technology. * Must be proficient in all skills required of a machinist I and II and also in setup and the operation of at least one of the following equipment CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, CNC Grind, CNC EDM. * Must be able to enter and adjust all offsets concerning with fixture offset and tool ware compensation. * Has the ability to make minor edits to existing software due to unexpected print changes, or the availability of the correct diameter cutting tool. * Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC equipment used to cut, turn or grind metal or modify parts or products within precise geometric tolerances. * General Machining Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and setup sheets. Requirements: * HS Diploma or equivalent * Minimum 2-5 years of experience in machining * 5 years OJT and /or vocational training in fabrication and the operation of manufacturing equipment. * Knowledge of reading blueprints, drawings, tools, and gauges. * Associates Degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, electro-mechanical, or related area preferred. * Ability to operate manual machines as well as at least one CNC type machine proficiently.
