We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Senior Engineering Technician.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.
Requirements
Manpower is currently hiring a Senior Engineering Technician for one of our clients in Clearwater, FL!
* This Engineering Test Services Technician position is within the Space Inertial Navigation Test group.
* The Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on diverse technical tasks related to testing Inertial Guidance and Navigation assemblies.
* In addition to hands-on testing of assemblies, the Technician will assist in preparing test documentation and reviewing SOD's and Layouts.
* Assist in Fault Isolation Teams (FIT) providing process detail and testing capabilities. Technician will be capable of providing work direction and technical training and guidance to other technicians as needed.
* Work with customers and coworkers (both technicians and engineers) to resolve test setup and execution issues.
* Job requires physical exertion and extended standing, walking, sitting times while retaining focus on tasks at hand.
* Must keep detailed test logs, follow detailed test procedures without error and provide daily status to program personnel (both verbal and written documentation).
* Execute 5S, Safety, equipment/lab maintenance and HOS tasks on a daily basis; demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.
* Additional tasks will be assigned by manager to support business requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
* Associates Degree, Technical School Diploma or 2 years college coursework in Electronics or related discipline
* Minimum 4 years electronics systems test experience or related field.
* Due to Export Compliance Program Requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Additional Qualifications:
* Experience with Guidance and Navigation systems.
* Experience with testing and trouble-shooting board level assemblies.
* Working knowledge of Inertial Guidance and Navigation Systems with knowledge of MIMU theory of operation.
* Electronic Circuit and Systems Analysis skills.
* Proficient in the use and setup of standard Electrical Engineering lab equipment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Flexibility to travel to customer sites for test support up to 10%.
* Ability to lift up to 35lb to waist height
* Ability to work independently and multi-task
* Excellent team-building and team work skills
* Ability, flexibility and willingness to work different shifts, flex shifts and alternate work weeks including overtime and weekends on a long-term daily basis as business needs require
Contract Length: 8 months
Work Schedule: Able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and willing to work overtime as needed.
Pay: $21.53/hr
