About this job
MOHELA, a student loan servicing agency, is seeking Student Loan Counselors for our headquarters in Chesterfield to counsel student loan borrowers and provide excellent customer service. Agents will be making outgoing calls to delinquent borrowers in order to receive payments and counsel them on their federal student loan debt.
English only candidates must be able to work Noon - 9pm Monday - Thursday, 8am-5pm Fridays. You must be able to work 5-10 hours of overtime beyond this schedule which does include Saturdays and/or early arrival for extended periods of time.
Bilingual candidates may have the choice of schedules as we need individuals who can start as early as 7am and others that can work until 9pm at night. You must be able to work 5-10 hours of overtime beyond the chosen schedule which does include Saturdays and/or early arrival for extended periods of time.
Starting salary is $15.00/hr. Comprehensive training will be approximately 10 weeks long from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. Monday through Friday. Hired candidates must be able to attend training every day. If able to assist our Spanish speaking customers, a $1.00/hr pay differential will be awarded once assigned to our Spanish speaking team. If you work Noon-9pm Monday though Thursday, 8am-5pm Friday, an additional $1.00 per hour is awarded.
