Warehouse in North Portland is looking for an temporary Office Assistant starting at $12.00 hr. We are seeking reliable, hard working individuals who can step up to fill a maternity leave for an employee.
Location: North Portland (About 4 blocks from the Expo Center)
Scope: Answer switchboard, greet visitors, data entry, typing, and other miscellaneous tasks as requested by manager
Major Responsibilities:

Must be able to work 40 to 42 hrs. per week between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm Mon thru Fri

Answer switchboard in a courteous and professional manner

Distribute messages in a timely manner

Receive and announce visitors to appropriate person

Process all incoming and outgoing mail - ensuring timely and appropriate deliveries and accurate logging

Update and maintain receptionist procedures manual

Miscellaneous data entry

Miscellaneous tasks (typing, proofreading, organizing check copies, etc.) as requested

Maintain a professional appearance at all times

Keep the reception area clean and tidy at all times

Experience and Expectations:

Excellent Verbal & Written Communication skills

Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Windows, e-mail and various PC based software

Proven ability to be comfortable answering switchboard and accurately completing other projects in a pressured environment while maintaining a pleasant and calm manner at all times
