Staffmark has an exciting inside sales/customer service position open with one of our clients based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This position is temp to hire and would start out working in Hunt Valley and eventually transferring to Belcamp, Maryland.
Primary Purpose of Position:
Inside Sales Customer Associate role includes providing exceptional customer & sales support for several hundred customers via telephone, fax and email. Key responsibilities include process and control of sales orders, using effective communication with operations regarding inventory issues within assigned areas and detailed verification of invoicing to customers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Receive and respond to inquiries from customers, sales staff, internal departments, and vendors. Use professionalism and diplomacy to handle complaints, make adjustments, answer or initiate correspondence and make every effort to satisfy the customer.

Manage daily order to cash operations, including releasing of sales orders, creating delivery documents, updating & invoicing orders/shipments within allotted time.

Primary Plant Customer Service Operations Lead and back up/or coverage within other roles assigned by Plant Manager if asked.

Run and analyze daily reports in SAP and BI systems.

Complete daily performance metrics and contribute to meeting customer's expectations and service level goals of 98/98

Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues and ability to analyze problems and make independent judgment to initiate corrective action or resolution

Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.

Arrange for shipments of orders from appropriate warehouses and/or plants by working with the Distribution Team and/or the warehouse to fulfill customer's requirements within the allotted time.

Prepare new customer setup forms and/or modify changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with inventory and production personnel to help assure proper inventory levels and assist in inventory allocations in accordance with sales forecasts.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with Regional Sales Managers in designated regions and with the other Inside Sales Customer Coordinators where regions, inventory, or customers overlap.

Create and maintain up-to-date SOP (standard operating job processes) outlining customer specific exceptions or other related information needed to accurately complete job tasks for assigned areas.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Associate Degree or Higher

Experience/Knowledge

Basic knowledge of customer service function and roles such as planning, organizing, coordinating and directing.

High concern for detail and accuracy

Exceptional verbal and written communications skills

Three to five years of experience consumer products inside sales/customer service

Demonstrates a high concern for detail, accuracy, and compliance to Company and Corporate policies and procedures.

Interpersonal skill in order to work effectively with individuals both internal and externally to the Company

Demonstrated ability to display diplomacy in day to day interactions with the commitment to task with awareness of urgency.

Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.

Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.

Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

SAP System Knowledge


TECHNICAL ROLE COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge of internal systems, SAP/BI

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Sitting at workstation approximately 85 percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 15 percent of work time.

Must be able to travel up to 20 percent of work time.

Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.

Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
