Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE

Directly accountable to manage and coordinate merchandise processing throughout the distribution network. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Merchandise Processing
  • Manage workflow of several departments in conjunction with individual department Supervisors to meet planned units per hour, cost per unit, level of service and accuracy standards.
  • Develop and administer short and long term operating budgets in conjunction with other distribution and corporate division staff.
  • Effectively manage staffing to meet UPH goals.
  • Provide strategy for workflow.
Policies and Procedures
  • Administer policies and procedures within assigned areas.
  • Work with other departments and divisions to resolve problems and ensure efficient service.
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping and maintenance standards.
Management of associates
  • Manages direct reports, systems and projects to achieve unit goals in accordance with Company policies and practices.
  • Prepares and analyze unit plans and reports.
  • Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area.
  • Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications.
  • Develops staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans.


QUALIFICATIONS required

  • 5 - 8 years of related experience including direct supervision experience in Distribution, Production/Operations Management, Warehouse Management or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Radio Frequency and automated distribution/warehouse management systems, Windows, Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility in hours to support multi-shift operation.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree
