Shift Lead for Order Pulling, Shipping, & Receiving

Large industrial parts and supply distributor in Portland is looking for a career minded individual to join their warehouse team to assist in daily operations. This is a stable, growing company with a proven track record of success. Ideal candidates have a team/shift lead mindset and willing to work hard to prove themselves. This position is temp to hire and includes a great benefits package shortly after being hired on permanently.

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday Days (actual hours TBD between 8am and 6pm), occasional overtime available

Pay: $13 – $15/hour

Location: Portland (near NE airport Rd & NE 181st Ave)

Job Description:

This is a Lead position and does require an element of supervision over the current team. Ideal candidates will have natural leadership ability and a positive, ‘will do’ attitude. Employees use a RF scanner and forklift to pull orders and prepare orders for shipment and track receivables in a large, clean and organized warehouse. Most employees are cross-trained Duties may change depending on whether you are in pulling orders, working in shipping, or receiving.

Requirements:

·           Leadership ability and experience

·           High School diploma or equivalent

·           Basic math skills & Good attention to detail

·           Ability to effectively use an RF scanner

·           Ability to stand for long periods of time

·           Ability to lift up to 20lbs. repeatedly

·           Ability to lift up to 60lbs. occasionally
