Must be able to work various shifts per week.
Requirements
Well-known manufacturing company in Southfield, MI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for 1st shift.
This position would be responsible for repairing and the maintenance of the facilities, machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment.
This is a 1st shift Maintenance Technician position with hands-on accountability of all areas of maintenance including but not limited to:
*Ability to observe mechanical devices in operation and troubleshoot to locate causes of trouble.
*Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
*Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
*Repairs or replaces or reworks defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
*Installs special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.
