Accounting Assistant - Full-time

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant to become a part of our professional office team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Daily billing
• Semi-monthly billing review, stuff & mail client invoices
• Long-Term Care Insurance billing
• VA Billing on medical billing form UB04
• Daily deposit using desktop check scanner
• Collections (unpaid client invoices)
• Payroll processing (data entry of new hires, W4's, etc.)
• Payroll balancing and transmitting to 
• Answer payroll questions
• Accounts payable processing
• General accounting
• Assist with benefits administration
• On-call the one day per week every other week and every 8th weekend

​Job Requirements:

• 2 year degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related Degree
• 2 or more years experience in payroll, billing, and/or collections
• On-call one day per week every other week and every 8th weekend

The salary range for this position is $25,000-$30,000 pear year.

Please be aware that this position has 1 very important requirement:  You will be on-call per above, which means you must be willing to work one-on-one with our clients.  You will, of course, be adequately trained on this, but please be aware that we are in the business of helping people and we back up our service 100%.  This involves potentially helping them with bathing, dressing, toileting, light housekeeping, meal preparation, etc.  If you are not comfortable with this, we understand, but don't apply for this position.  All of our office staff must be committed to our service guarantee.
