About this job

In this newly created leadership role, you will be accountable for leading a team of Product Analysts who support OptumRx business planning and requirements activities. The team is expected to fully understand the business model, document business processes and become experts in the Products and domain(s) and they serve. The individual in this role will provide expertise to lead the development of new approaches for Product analysis (which adhere to established program/project lifecycle standards and best practices).


 


Responsibilities:



  • Engage with business leaders and architecture teams to fully understand business strategy and processes

  • Obtain deep knowledge of business needs and opportunities

  • Assist in developing future state, defining current state and performing gap analysis for strategic and high-visibility projects

  • Oversight of the teams that facilitate requirements gathering sessions to elicit accurate requirements

  • Assist in the creation of Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) and Return on Investment (ROI) studies

  • Provide leadership in supporting the solutioning process (options analysis) by analyzing and balancing risk/reward considerations

  • Participate in creation of implementation plans, including defining approaches to testing and validation of solutions

  • Oversee a team of Product Analysts who are writing user stories and detailed business requirements

  • Effectively communicate business and/or solution-specific processes appropriately with both technical and business teams

  • Perform analysis of business issues and/or challenges and recommend practical and feasible solutions

  • Drive ongoing follow up to ensure desired outcomes for the business

  • Build, lead, guide and mentor a team of Product Analysts

  • Own resource management activities for the team

 

Requirements

Requirements:



  • 15 or more years of experience as an Information Technology professional

  • 10 or more years of experience gathering requirements as part of a structured Software Development Life Cycle  process

  • Track record of facilitating meetings to gather accurate and meaningful requirements

  • Blend of analysis, architecture, strategy and relationship management skills/knowledge

  • Prior experience Leading/ Managing with HR accountabilities

  • Prior experience leading a team through the process of writing high-quality requirements

  • Basic project management skills (to ensure proper follow up takes place through the planning and requirements process)

  • Proven ability to adapt to and drive change

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiences

  • Must have Healthcare industry experience

  • Must have experience as a Product Manager

Assets:



  • Experience in the PBM (Pharmacy Benefits Management) industry

  • Prior experiences with a professional services consulting firm
