About this job

This position will be part of a team responsible for scrubbing customer orders, writing Service Orders, writing Local
Service Requests, and working with various ILECs and CLECs to obtain facilities, port telephone numbers, and initiate
customer billing. They will be required to communicate with internal and external organizations that include Sales,
Delivery Management, and Service Activation Teams; while coordinating multiple orders in the course of provisioning
Local Switched and BVoIP Voice services, and Local Private Line service.
The nature of the position requires the engineer to be self-motivated and able to work under pressure with minimal
supervision. They must have written and verbal communications skills and be computer literate with the family of Microsoft
applications.
The individual should be familiar with the different components that relate to the telecommunications network architecture
and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a telecommunications company performing one or more of the functions in
support of provisioning Voice or Private Line service.
Candidates should have experience in some of the following Support Systems from AT&T or one of the major
Telecommunications companies: ASR; PWOT, LIFE, IOM, StarGems, Connect-Vu, TOPS/Order Manager, LENS,
LSRVVI, WISE, TIRKS, SOTS, EFMS, LNP/SMS, LNP/SOA, NISE-L, MARTIN, CCOPS, ACMS, SORD, CESAR, LASR.
