About this job

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment by receiving and storing sales floor merchandise. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction
  • Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Receive, open, unpack and stock sales floor merchandise.
  • Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.
  • Compare invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
  • Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on products.
  • Know par levels of merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
  • Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons.
  • Transport packages to customers' vehicles.
  • Take count of inventory during monthly inventory times and as requested.
  • Perform cashiering duties.
  • Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned
