The newly renovated Granville Inn is seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. This position is responsible for the supervision of food & beverage service operations including the Oak Room, Tavern and Room Service.  The Restaurant Supervisor ensures the standards of quality in product and service are consistently enforced and maintained. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  

  • Supervise all aspects of daily F&B operations.
  • Delegate and assign duties and responsibilities to team members.
  • Monitor associate performance to ensure superior, accurate, friendly and timely service.
  • Develop daily dining room floor plans for meal periods which includes server stations, delegating side work responsibilities, checking out servers prior to end of shift, etc.
  • Assist management with weekly front of the house inventory and placing orders with Chef.
  • Daily cleaning and deep cleaning schedule.
  • Works with restaurant servers to train on room service preparation and delivery.
  • Trains restaurant servers on the POS system.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer relations skills and leadership capability.
  • Must be detail oriented with superior organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the Inn, its services and facilities.
  • Lead the Front of the House staff in training.
  • Assist F&B Management in monitoring inventory.
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness.
  • Leads inventory for china, glass and silver quarterly.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning and operation of the service equipment.
  • Leads in absence of Food and Beverage Director.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Food and Beverage Director.

Requirements

  • Micros POS System experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the proper etiquette and service standards.
  • Basic math skills.
  • High school diploma and prior experience working in customer service.
  • English language and professional communications skills are required.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
  • Commitment to quality service, food and beverage knowledge.
  • Must have at least 3 years experience working in a restaurant setting.
  • Must have stability and longevity in previous roles.
  • Previous supervisory experience required. Minimum 2 years preferred.
