Applications Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

APPLICATIONS ENGINEER WITH CNC EXPERIENCE NEEDED! CINCINNATI, OH

Our client, a world leader in metal cutting and manufacturing technology, is seeking an Applications Engineer with a strong CNC background. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing various customer manufacturing requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting sales territory for pre-sale technical requirements including time estimates, test cuts and technical discussions.
Supporting proposal requirements and showroom related activities (if applicable).
Performing post sale start-up support for customer in area of part processing, programming structure and operator training.
Visiting customers in need of assistance as directed by supervisor.
Working in conjunction with local field service on customer machine issues as required.
Supporting turnkey requirements as developed by client engineering upon arrival into territory.
Presenting and/or teaching technical requirements for high speed machining.
Maintaining showroom machines in demonstration- ready condition.
Coordinating process training (including machine options, programming, and cell operations) at client site and at the customer's facility.
Assisting Customer Support in the installation/de-installation process as required.
Other duties as assigned to support the productive execution of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (preferred) in a technical area or 5 years or more related experience.
Technical knowledge and logical troubleshooting skills.
Application and operational knowledge of CNC equipment.
Ability to explain to customer clients processing technology.
Detailed knowledge of CNC part programming preferred.
Proven experience in customer support and building customer relationships
Willingness to travel (at times extensively).
