Certified Surgical Technician - Clinical Advanced Surgical Team (CAST) Per Diem / PRN

The hospitals of HCA West Florida are very proud to announce our newest team of Surgical Services (OR) professionals. The CAST team is a market based PRN Certified Surgical Technician (CST) float program specializing in OR. We are seeking highly skilled, multi-talented Surgical Technicians to join this elite specialty team. Position Overview

As a member of CAST you will be assigned to hospitals based upon your selection and the OR staffing needs of the facility. CAST members are not required to cover call or work weekends unless you choose to do this. You will receive a comprehensive orientation to each OR that you commit to. As a CAST member you will further develop your skills as you float between facilities and work with new teams.

Markets: Our Hospitals have been categorized into Markets based on location:

Pinellas

Edward White Hospital, Largo Medical Center, Northside Hospital, Palms of Pasadena, St. Petersburg General Hospital

Pasco

Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Oak Hill Hospital, Medical Center of Trinity

Hillsborough

Brandon Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital of Tampa, Tampa Community Hospital

Sarasota

Blake Medical Center, Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, Englewood Community Hospital, Fawcett Memorial Hospital

A minimum of 2 shifts per pay period is required. Shifts may range from 4-12 hour commitments.

Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program or equivalent training.

Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.

Prior OR Tech experience required.

Detail-oriented with ability to sustain concentration over long periods of time.

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
