SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Interpretation of basic arrhythmias.
Maintains unit supplies/forms.
Maintains patient record according to hospital policy.
Communicates effectively with staff supervisors, ancillary departments and other customers.
Maintains neat and organized work place.
Assists staff nurse with transfer/admission process.
Stays abreast of new information pertaining to hospital/unit function and policies.
Attends Required Annual and Job specific Education Opportunities.
EXPERIENCE
Required - Clinical experience and an understanding of basic medical terminology and Standards of practice for a Nursing Assistant.
Preferred - Previous experience as a Unit Secretary and/or Monitor Technician.
EDUCATION
Required - High school graduate with strong background of English and Spelling. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Preferred - Certified Nursing Assistants Licensure. Unit Secretary Certification. Completion of Medical Terminology class. Completion of a Basic EKG Class.
