Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN

TriStar Horizon, a fully accredited 157- bed community-based medical center, provides medical, surgical, obstetrical, emergency, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient services and a regional cancer center offering radiation oncology. Horizon has proudly provided quality healthcare to Dickson and surrounding counties for more than 50 years. Starting with a small group of doctors in 1958, TriStar Horizon medical staff has grown to over 300 members representing more than 20 specialties. All are board certified or board eligible.

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is currently looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN.

Responsibilities:

· Under the supervision of a physical therapist, the assistant provides treatment in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part.

· Responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in the provision of physical therapy services.

· Provide the highest quality healthcare with care and compassion, with a vision that is patient oriented, advanced in technology, of the highest quality, and cost effective.

· Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.

· Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers.

· Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment.

· Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon.

Qualifications:

· Associates of Arts in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

· Current registration with the TN State Board of Physical Therapy Assistance.

· BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required within 90 days of hire or promotion.
